Working
Actively To Change Hillfields (WATCH) is a community-led
organisation based in the heart of Hillfields.
We are managed by a fifteen-person committee, and we seek to
secure, co-ordinate and manage resources for the social, economic
and environmental improvement of the area, for the benefit of
people living and working in Hillfields.
Our last Annual General Meeting took place on the 16th of
November, 6pm, at the Gosford Asian Group Day Centre,
Vauxhall Street, Hillfields. Our guest speakers were Sector
Inspector Yvonne Bruton and Sgt Gary Haywood, West Midlands
Police.
We are currently looking for two new volunteer positions (to help
out on our Reception and in our Learndirect centre). Click here for more
information.
We are currently assisted by the following funding bodies: nextstep
IAG (from the LSC), ESF (via the Hillfields Partnership Board),
ERDF (via the Hillfields Partnership Board), Heart of England
Community Foundation, NSF, NRF (via the Coventry Partnership),
BBC Children in Need, Heritage Lottery Fund (Young Roots), and
Learndirect.
